I’m a blonde specialist at Sandra Meakin Colour Expert in Rossington, Doncaster. I’ve been a hairdresser for 30 years and have recently completed my Wella Colour Expert training. I’m passionate about the science behind colour and how to get the best from it.
Blonde is what I love most. I believe there’s a blonde for everyone, whether you’re after grey blending, a sun-kissed face frame, a lived-in blonde or a full transformation. My job is to work out what suits you and your hair, then plan how to get you there while caring for its condition and keeping upkeep manageable.
I’ll always talk you through what’s possible, what it will take and how often you’ll need to come in, so there are no surprises. If your hair needs more than one appointment to get there safely, I’ll tell you.
When I’m not doing hair, I’m often learning about it. I also enjoy getting out for a run. I’m a mum of two grown-up children, and I love having the family round and cooking for everyone.

A clear plan starts with a conversation. Here are a few things you might want to know before your first visit.
Book your consultation£20, deducted from your colour appointment.
Not necessarily. Dark hair can go blonde with the right technique and products, and I’ve done it in one appointment for clients before. Every head of hair is different, so some people need more than one visit. I’ll tell you honestly what’s possible at your consultation.
Lightening always changes the hair, but with the right products, technique and aftercare, it can stay healthy and shiny. I use Wella Blondor Plex, which is designed to help protect the hair while it’s lightened. We’ll consider your hair’s condition before deciding on a plan.
It depends on your starting colour, hair length and the look you want. I’ll give you a time estimate at your consultation. Sometimes it’s a journey over a few appointments.
It depends on the style. A lived-in blonde or grey blend can grow out softly and may need appointments less often than a bright all-over blonde. We’ll agree a plan that suits your lifestyle and budget.
I’ll confirm the exact price at your consultation, as it depends on your hair’s length, thickness and what’s needed. You can explore the price list before booking.
View the price listYes—start with a consultation, especially for a big colour change. It’s £20 to book online, and this is deducted from your colour appointment. Bring photos of your current hair and inspiration pictures so we can talk through what you’d like to achieve.
Yes. New colour clients need a patch test at least 48 hours before their colour appointment. Please allow time to arrange this before your visit.

All new clients must book a colour consultation before their first appointment. Patch tests are required at least 48 hours before all colour services.
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
If you downgrade your treatment with less than 24 hours’ notice, the original appointment price will still apply.
Please arrive on time. Arriving more than 15 minutes late may mean Sandra is unable to complete your full treatment.
